Oh Julie, you are gonna get through this. My heart goes out to you and will pray for you. I have been on cancer drugs for 3 years now after quite the ride. 2018 was an endless stream of Dr. appointments, blood draws, radiation, scans, operations, etc, but I'm still here and focus on what matters now. I had people show such kindness that I will never forget and you will experience that too. Read all you can about it, ask questions and share with someone who has been down the same road. You have a ton of people who care about you and want you to get rid of this awful disease. ❤❤❤

With the trailer so high off the axle, I would be worried about side to side force with weight on the trailer in a corner. What reinforcement do you have against sideways force on the trailer axle?

Bad news! I can sympathize since I am going thru a cancer episode also. Unfortunately, surgery didn't fix it. I would like to offer advice to younger people. If you are going to have a family, make sure one of the kids is a daughter. My daughter has been a tremendous help thru my wife passing and my health problems.

Julie, you are 1,000% correct cancer DOES SUCK! I've lost far too many loved ones to it, and I can honestly say I HATE CANCER!!!!! You said that prayers are appreciated, I say that prayers are guaranteed! I'm going to be lifting all y'all up in prayer because in my experience, the entirety of the family and friends suffer through it right alongside you. Please take care of yourself and give it up to God and your doctors. After all, He did bless them with their education, knowledge, and desire to serve people in that capacity! Anthony, I love how the build is coming along, but I agree with another commenter in that I'm thinking that your desired ride height could be achieved by a small gooseneck step and making the trailer floor a small wedge from the bottom deck to the top. That just might let you get 2 street rods on the trailer at the same time and make your frame rails the same height off of the ground as your tractor's!

Anthony, put a pair of 55 gallon drums into the side mount hoops, complete with what ever corporate nomenclature the came with- but add a "bumper sticker" that says "this space reserved for some flashy, nice tanks" and list your budget under the rules to buy when found. She's well on the road to "becoming"! Btw, I note you are leaving Connor alone with the tools more- he is becoming a strong hand, glad to see him getting there with your eye and style! On the trailer conundrum; the truck, all by itself is cool- the truck, sleeper and the trailer in your sketch is cooler by an order of magnitude. Lots! I know that actually goose necking a trailer isn't simple and needs lots of reinforcement; how about just cutting the hitch makeup part and welding that to the top of the remaining rails? That would get the lower rail three or more inches lower and not need nearly as much structure. Just sayin"- and admit I am prejudiced toward your original concept. Julie, some seasons run that way. It does get better, and as I am fond of saying " Another day on this side of the grass". Take this time, attend to you for a minute or three! We will be here when you get back to us, until then you will be missed! Anthony, you better bring back a trophy!

Gday sorry to hear about the C word. Why dont you look at a low boy trailer design that way you could get it really low to the ground

Either due deck over on front of trailer or a cut down goose neck trailer with air bags on trailer.

I also will be one of the ones that cannot make it to the rat stock I just don't have enough time to get all the parts I needed to build the project maybe Next year I can make it I will save everything from the project and put it on hold

I would just goose neck the front and bag the rear, smartest way to go about it and keeping it low.
